Plaznik Tourist Farm in the Bistra Valley near Črna na Koroškem, Slovenia, brings together home-grown food, comfortable accommodation and a peaceful break among forests, meadows and the hills of Koroška.

Leave the bustle of the city behind and enjoy fresh air, birdsong, crickets and the gentle sound of the Bistra stream. The farm is 6.5 km from the centre of Črna na Koroškem, reached by a paved road. Surrounded by woodland and meadows, it is a place to rest, walk and spend time outdoors, away from traffic and city lights.

We welcome up to 60 guests. By prior arrangement, we prepare lunches for birthdays, anniversaries, christenings, first communions, confirmations and other gatherings. Our cooking draws on home-grown produce and organic farming principles. Specialities include cold-cut platters, kločevi nudeljni (dumplings with a dried-pear filling) and buckwheat štruklji (rolled dumplings). We also make celebration cakes and cold-cut platters to take away.

Walking, cycling and day trips from the Bistra Valley

Cross-country skiing in the countryside around the farm

The farm is a starting point for walks and mountain biking. Hiking destinations include Raduha, Olševa, Smrekovec, Peca and Uršlja gora. You can also explore Javorje, Koprivna, Topla, Podpeca and Ludranski vrh, home to the famous Najevska linden tree.

Continue towards Solčava and the Logar Valley via Bukovnikovo sedlo, or follow the scenic route back towards Črna. Choose a route suited to the conditions and your abilities. Cross-country skiing is possible nearby when snow conditions allow. Črna also has a ski slope associated with the early careers of Tina Maze and other local Olympians.
